PRESIDENT

Kaitlyn Mores
Kaitlyn Mores, P.E., is a Civil Engineer and Project Manager in the Energy Division at Burns & McDonnell. She has six years of industry experience designing, constructing, and managing all types of energy generation solutions for clients ranging from solar to coal to natural gas facilities. Kaitlyn is passionate about renewable energy and was recently a Burns & McDonnell Energy Ignite finalist for her ideas about agrivoltaics and floating solar technologies. Kaitlyn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University and a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management from the University of Kansas. She is a registered Professional Engineer in Arizona, Minnesota, Missouri, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
Since moving to Kansas City in 2016, Kaitlyn has been an active member of the Kansas City Section of the Society of Women Engineers. She has co-chaired the Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day (IGED) and IGED Jr. planning committees four times and was the 2019 SWE-KC Executive Council Vice President. Kaitlyn serves on the Burns & McDonnell Energy United Way campaign planning committee, is a lifetime member of the Iowa State University Alumni Association, and leads the Burns & McDonnell Christmas caroling group. Kaitlyn lives in Overland Park, KS, with her husband Jackson, and their two cats, Skittles & Gordo. She enjoys vegetable and flower gardening, exploring new places, and playing on year-round sand volleyball teams.

VICE PRESIDENT

Abby Kerber
Abby graduated from Kansas State University in May of 2020. While at Kansas State she was involved in Alpha Chi Omega Sorority, Engineering Ambassadors, Society of Women Engineers, Engineers Without Borders (EWB), as well as holding a job throughout. The most impactful role she served in was the President of the Kansas State University Chapter of Engineers Without Boarders.
After graduation she started immediately at Honeywell FM & T .
Since starting at Honeywell she has had daily interactions with a global integrated supply chain, several National Laboratories as Design Agencies, and the the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). In her first two years in industry, she has been awarded the Department of Energy Award of Excellence (2019) and Honeywell FM & T Outstanding Engineer Award (2022).
Outside of of work Abby has been an active participant in her community through Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day, serving on the committee for the past two years for IGED Jr. Additionally, she teaches children's ski lessons at Snow Creek in the winter, and often volunteers for other events such as Harvester and KC Parks and Rec Clean Up.

Connie Walden
Ms. Connie Walden is an Environmental Engineer specializing in modeling water and wastewater systems. She has worked in research and private consulting. As a consultant, she developed several facility plans for potable water and wastewater clients. She has also developed multiple peer-reviewed publications while sharing research/design projects through professional presentations.

SECRETARY

Teresa Vohsen
Teresa Vohsen is a Ballistics Test Engineer for Olin-Winchester at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant. She previously worked at Honeywell FM&T and interned with GE Aviation. She graduated from Missouri University of Science and Technology in May 2020.
While at Missouri S&T, Teresa was an active member of Zeta Tau Alpha and is currently the ritual advisor for the Delta Chi chapter. She is also active in Keramos, a professional society for Ceramic Engineers.
Teresa lives in Lee's Summit with her husband, Sam, and her 2 dogs, Biscuit and Kalvin.
